During idle moments this past week, we’ve been trying to track down more info on a new horror film apparently being made by The Weinstein Company, but all we’ve found is a date and a star.

Box Office Mojo added a movie called SATANIC to its schedule of upcoming releases, with a release date of August 30, 2013. The listing says that Haley Bennett (pictured above), previously seen in THE HAUNTING OF MOLLY HARTLEY, KABOOM and Joe Dante’s THE HOLE, will star—and that’s all the info that seems to exist on-line. The Weinsteins have been known to announce—and date—projects that never saw fruition before (remember Robert Rodriguez’s NERVERACKER, Rob Zombie’s TYRANNOSAURUS REX and the still-languishing HALLOWEEN 3D?), so we’ll let you know if and when anything further develops.
