Final Line-up, Guest Roster for Edmonton’s Dedfest Revealed!

A little while back, FANGORIA gave fright fans a look at one of Western Canada’s most anticipated cinematic events, the 8-year-strong Dedfest in Edmonton. And while their 2015 edition sports much anticipated genre films such as GREEN ROOM, THE DEMOLISHER, TEX MONTANA WILL SURVIVE!, THE INVITATION, YAKUZA APOCALYPSE, BITE and TALES OF HALLOWEEN, Dedfest is now ready to announce their second wave of petrifying programming as well as their full guest line-up! Read on for the depraved details…

Among the films joining the wicked roster at Dedfest include…

  • Wakaliwood’s groundbreaking action film WHO KILLED CAPTAIN ALEX? (dir. Nabwana I.G.G.)
  • Home invasion midnight movie KNOCK KNOCK (dir. Eli Roth)
  • Ambitious L.A. thriller TOO LATE (dir. Dennis Hauck)
  • Bloody action ensemble film GRIDLOCKED (dir. Allan Unger)
  • Body Horror Comedy PATCHWORK (dir. Tyler MacIntyre)
  • Acclaimed festival favorite GOODNIGHT MOMMY (dir. Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala)
  • Splattery Sci-Fi throwback THE MIND’S EYE (dir. Joe Begos)
  • Badass South America-set thriller CAMINO (dir. Josh Waller)
  • Anticipated blood-spiller HE NEVER DIED (dir. Jason Krawczyk)

In addition to these films, Dedfest is also screening short films THE CHICKENING, THE STOMACH, NEVER TEAR US APART, BIRTHDAY, INNSMOUTH, BOLTRON NINJA MASSACRE, MADRE DE DIOS, PORTAL TO HELL and EL GIGANTE. Furthermore, Henry Rollins, Jason Krawczyk and producer Zach Hagen of HE NEVER DIED will be on hand as Dedfest’s special guests, as well as filmmakers Jeremy Gardner, Tyler McIntyre, Dennis Hauck, Josh Waller and Gabriel Carrer. And lastly, in addition to a retrospective screening of DEMON KNIGHT, Dedfest has also added H.G. Lewis’ cult classic TWO THOUSAND MANIACS! to their packed schedule.
