“DEATHGASM PART 2: GOREMAGEDDON” Announced; Screenplay Completed

In the increasingly unsure and constantly changing media landscape, any indie horror success story is one worth celebrating. Whether it’s a “little film that could” such as IT FOLLOWS or a streaming success story such as THE TAKING OF DEBORAH LOGAN, any win for those working in low-budget horror is a step towards bolder voices receiving bigger venues for their talents. And yet with VOD numbers far fromt transparent, who could have predicted that one of this year’s goriest and most fun fright flicks would be getting a proper follow-up as filmmaker Jason Lei Howden has announced DEATHGASM PART 2: GOREMAGEDDON is coming to bang heads once again!

Making the announcement on his Instagram, Howden has announced that the sequel has been written in full, promising “more gore in the first 10 minutes than the entire first DEATHGASM.” While there is no official announcement for filming or any cast confirmations (Howden has noted on his Twitter feed that the greenlight has yet to be given), DEATHGASM has been one of the most buzzed about horror titles of the year, slaying audiences at several film fests with its bloody, metal-infused insanity. DEATHGASM hits DVD/Blu-ray stateside from Dark Sky Films in 3 weeks, but until then, you can find the film on VOD and keep an eye out for more on DEATHGASM PART 2: GOREMAGEDDON here at FANGORIA.com!
